Curling!! Yeah!

Okay, folks. Sorry for the delay, but here is the skivvy on the curling:
Openhouses run on a fist-come-first-served basis, so we need to be there early. If we are all there by 1:15pm or so (Saturday, Jan. 7), we should be okay. Here's the address:
1440 N 128th St
Seattle, Washington 98133
(206) 362-2446
http://www.curlingseattle.org/open.html
If you need to map it, I suggest using maps.google.com. They're the coolest!
They send us out with an instructor and it takes about an hour to get the basics of curling. Then we get a chance to play an end or two of curling. If the openhouse isn't busy, we can stay on the ice and play. However, if the openhouse is very busy, we will probably be pulled off the ice after playing an end so we can give more people a chance to try curling.
They provide the necessary equipment
(brooms and a 'slider' for use when throwing the stones)
You should bring or wear a pair of shoes with flat, clean, rubber soles
- tennis shoes are ideal
You should wear comfortable loose fitting clothing
- tight, low rise jeans are difficult to curl in ;-)
You should dress in layers
- initially it will be cold out on the ice, but you will warm up quickly
once you start playing since it is exercise ;-)
Okay folks, remember to be there on time!! If you show up late, there's no assurance that you can get a spot!!
Love you all, and look forward to seeing you!!
-Mike and Victoria.
