Some interesting stuff for High School Football
This was from the reader's comments from the Seattle Times high school football blog. Looks like both Newport and Eastlake have had strong starts. Also, we should note that Eastlake had a big win over Woodinville last night.
Go Knights...and Wolves!

We'll see how good Issaquah is this Friday against Bellevue. I have a feeling it's going to be ugly for the boys in purple. Look for Newport to give Skyline a run for their money. It looks like a Newport victory will be the only way they will get recognition in the top 10.
Good Ol' George, you must not be too ol'. Newport was KingCo Champion in 1967, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1997 and State Champions 1992. Nothing too recently, but they look awfully good this year. Also 6-time state baseball champions, the latest coming in 2006. Let's not forget they are one of the top public academic institutions in the country. How many can say that?

No way Woodinville stands a chance against Eastlake Thursday night. The Wolves offence is too powerful with Robertson, McKay, Kemp, and Lappano. And you will have to change your mind about the best defense in the leauge. It will be a repeat performance of two years ago when bot teams were undefeated, as they are now, and Woodinville had the best defense and a balanced offence, but were then surprised by the Wolves with a 39-14 loss. Eastlake will breeze past the Falcons.......again!
